Conceptual photography - Regrets

This is an ongoing project that explores the relationship between image and text. The subjects represented in the following images were asked what was the thing they most regret not doing because of fear. This specific question was raised out of personal introspection and interrogation. Through this project I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the words regret, fear, personal growth, action and passivity.
The project consists of a series of triptychs. Each triptych contains the portrait of the respondent, the answer to the question and a metaphorical image that is my own interpretation of the answer.
The artistic references that I have used for this project are: Sophie Calle, Martha Rosler and Lorna Simpson.
